Cobalt Chloride Hexahydrate

Cobalt chloride is used as a humidity indicator, changing from blue to pink as it absorbs moisture. It is also used as a desiccant, in electroplating, as a catalyst for various organic reactions, and as a precursor for synthesizing other cobalt compounds. Additionally, it has uses in laboratory synthesis, such as for making cobaltocene and other organocobalt compounds.
